#BBA2013:Eviction Time

;

Another Big Brother: The Chase relationship bit the dust during Sunday’s live eviction show as Botswana’s Oneal was separated from love interest Feza – for now.

Out on stage, Oneal discussed his catch phrase ‘at this particular juncture’, saying it’s something he’d been saying before he went into the house, and that people tend to pick up on phrases of his, even on Twitter. He told IK it had been hard to be separated from his son, who he is used to taking to school every day.
IK then asked the burning question: “Are you in love with Feza?” “Ya, I love Feza,” admitted the Motswana. He told IK that they’d be seeing each other as soon as the Tanzanian left the house and that both had tentative plans to move to South Africa. He also rubbished housemates’ claims that they had entered The Chase for the experience, saying they were all in the game for the USD300 000 prize. As for his ‘side goals’, Oneal had hoped to pick up a bigger audience to help support his career as a club DJ and radio & TV presenter – something he felt he’d achieved.

Last week’s evicted housemates, Annabel and Sulu got to have their say about their time in The Chase. Annabel told viewers she’d been enjoying every moment outside the house and was looking forward to ‘landing new things’. “I entered Big Brother not just for the money, but also because I knew it was my time to shine and time to prove to people ‘this is who I am’, she said. “I kept it real and I loved it and I’m not going to regret the experience one bit,” was her parting shot.

Sulu said that he was aware that being in the Big Brother house was the opportunity of a lifetime. He wasn’t happy at being put up for eviction as part of a ‘save & replace’ decision, but had to deal with it. “ I think I was born for this and I will take this as my opportunity,” he told viewers. When he arrived home in Zambia last week, Sulu was met by hundreds of fans at the airport – so, as IK quipped, he may not have found love in the house, but maybe things will happen for him now that he’s home.

Boity Thulo joined IK on stage to tell viewers more about how to interact with the show via Twitter, with the official @bigbroafrica account now boasting more than 450 000 followers, constantly commenting on everything that happens in the house. She told viewers that they could see their message displayed on-screen and add to the conversation by tweeting using #BigBroAfrica or #BBATheChase. Fans can also follow evicted housemates to interact with them and find out more about their time in the game.

Rising South African Motswako star Cassper Nyovest performed twice – getting things going with ‘Wahala’ and later to help close out an exciting show with ‘Gusheshe’.
