BBAupdate: Damn! Does Bassey want to Rape Beverly!

Is this joke or what? Things are really becoming complicated in the House right  now, just imagine....
WOW! What did we have in today’s Rendezvous room? ….Was it rape in the Big Brother House or something else? Bassey and Beverly’s Rendezvous session has so far been the hottest in the chase’s History.

After a lengthy chat with enough champagne sipped, Bassey got tired of the normal verbal conversation and he wanted to go a little bit wild. The Seirra Leonean dude started by telling Beverly that the Rendezvous Room is not meant for friends but couples that’s why he chose her to quench his thirst. He then asked for a kiss in a peaceful way before he forcefully went with the request after learning it wasn’t gonna be considered.

” Bev I want at least a kiss because even Biggie knows that the Rendezvous Room is not for friends. If you refuse I will have to use this condom!” Bassey told Beverly as he held her down the bed trying to forcefully kiss her.

Following some minutes of hustling to resist Bassey’s request, Beverly decided to sooth him down promising him a romantic Kiss. However, it seemed like she was just trying to get him off her body and after this she just comfortably sat on the chair.

Bassey was not yet done with his request as he continues begging for a kiss over and over again attempting to do it by force. Lucky enough, Beverly was stuck with his words and held the horny dude behind. The duo then sat for some minutes in a calm manner but with Bassey still asking for a kiss.

Following Beverly’s screaming from the Rendezvous room, Melvin came to his sister’s rescue and he tried to peep through while listening to what was going on inside the room.

Learning that people had intervened his privacy, Bassy was triggered and went more wild. Bassey then screamed as if he was making love with Beverly. He too told Beverly to return the favour with some screams to balance the equation…. As if that was not enough to seal his day, Bassey stripped off and showed Beverly his privates!

They say that” Almost doen’t kill a bird,” so he din’t rape Beverly!
Was Bassey horny and wanted to really do it or it was a joke, I too can’t tell…. But, keep watching.

BBAthechase: Wrap up, the Week so Far

Lovers parted; jealousy, love triangles and vengeance – this week of Big Brother The Chase had no shortage of drama with a capital D.
Selly found herself in the middle of nastylove triangle when Sulu and Nando were both given their first strikes in the House. Big Brother came down on Nando a ton of bricks after he attended the Channel O party with a steak knife in his pocket. While Sulu was penalised for trying to forcefully get Selly’s attention after the party. Selly, Sulu and Nando now all have two strikes left in the House before they face disqualification.

Diamond House Crush Wall winners Dillish and Selly both chose to go on a date with the enigmatic Sulu. During his date with the Ghanaian he professed his love for her but she told him, “I don’t love you”. Ouch poor guy. Ruby winner Bassey chose to have a gossip session with Beverly on his Rendezvous date.

After the Rubies won the Airtel Showdown; HoH Feza chose to move her girl pals Mariaand Annabel to the Ruby House and she swapped Bassey and Pokello to the Diamond House. Pokello swore vengeance upon the Tanzanian for parting her from her booElikem. Meanwhile Elikem, Bolt and Fatima all plotted against Pokello.

After failing this week’s Camping Task and losing the 100% Wager for a second week in a row; the Diamonds took to stealing the Rubies’ groceries during the Party on Saturday. Well they do say desperate times call for desperate measures.

This past Sunday we bid adieu to two of The Chase’s sexiest ladies Motamma andBetty. A sad farewell it was as the Ethiopian was parted from her lover Bolt and the Diamonds lost someone they considered a good friend.

BBA:Unbelievable! Are This Guys Getting close? Cleo and Dillish

Hold on, was this Cleo and Dillish getting close? Unbelievable! Just this Monday Cleo Nominated Dillish for Eviction reasoning Biggie, “I just don’t think she and I will get along”. But oh my; how quickly things do change in the Big Brother House.
As the Housemates got ready to sleep, Nando got a little playful with Dillish but the Namibian was clearly more interesting in getting ‘playful’ with Cleo. The pretty psychology student called out to the Zambian, “Cleo my love come hump me again. Come let’s hump”.

The hip hop star did not take long to bolt over to Dillish’s bed and mounted her like a cowboy on his trusty steed. While on top of her she worked those hips bouncing up and down like a pogo stick and simulated sexual movements as Dillish moaned out in exhilaration. Cleo then moved over to next bed and spread her legs wider than an eagle’s wings as it was Dillish’s turn to climb on board and the Namibian also simulated copulation. Even, resident pervert, Nando couldn’t handle all this wild action as he jumped off the bed, exclaiming: “I’m out”.

Will things change between these two if Dillish survives the eviction?

GMB's Word For the Day: Don't Rush into this Relationship (2)

Good day GMB's Readers,  We are today continuing from where we stopped on "Don't rush into this relationship" And i believed you really learn from yesterday's series? Stay with us on today's own. Enjoy.
We all want to be loved and appreciated for who we are. And when it doesn't happen on our timetable, it's tempting to rush into another relationship hoping it'll make everything better. The last couple to 'live happily ever after' may have been Snow White and Prince Charming! Keith Anderson writes about a friend whose relationship had taken a serious nosedive: 'I told him not to be in a big hurry to find comfort and rush into the next relationship. Stop where you are, I said, and learn what you can from this failure, and then step on it - move ahead in growth. The real failure is not in falling down but in staying there when you have fallen... Jesus told His disciples to shake the dust from their failures and move on. It's good advice. Don't become caught up in your failures. Don't become condemned to repeat the past. Learn from your mistakes and move on. Didn't Paul say the same thing in Philippians? "Forgetting what is behind... I press on." (Philippians 3:13-14 NIV)'

One day Jesus met a woman who'd been married five times and was pursuing yet another relationship. Recognising that her need was not for another man, but a relationship with God, He said, 'No one who drinks the water I give will ever be thirsty again.' (John 4:14 CEV) Jesus saw beyond her sin to her real need, and restored her sense of self-worth. Bottom line: only the water Jesus gives will quench your soul's thirst.

BBA Swap Palaval, as Maria, Annabel, Pokello And Bassey Swapped

Today the Ruby Head of House Feza had to make a swap decision after her house emerged victors in the Airtel showdown, she decided to swap Bassey and Pokello from the Ruby house to the Diamond house, then Maria and Annabel from the Diamond house to Ruby house.
As the other swapped three housemates took the news very easy, the bossy Zimbabwean embarked on spitting fire . “She better pray I go home on Sunday because I hold a grudge for live. I do not play that I am not that kind of bitch,” she said.

The cute boutique owner and her Ghanaian dude Elikem were gutted by the Tanzanian Head of House’s decision to part them. After the announcement was made, they headed to the bedroom where Pokello vented to her boo about Feza and the two speculated about Feza’s real motives for moving her.

The Ghana man concluded that this swap is the Tanzanian’s way of pre-empting the fallout from Sunday’s Evictions. “She doesn’t want you to be here when she announces that she picked to swap you on Sunday. She wants you to be gone for a week so that you have time to cool off if you don’t leave on Sunday,” he rationed to his lady. “And she chose Annabel because she is her ally,” Pokello added.

Elikem may not know it yet but he is right on the money; Feza did in fact use her ‘Save and Replace’ power to save Sulu and replace him with Pokello on the Nomination list and we can’t wait to see her reaction on Sunday. The Chase is on now!

Annabel, Bolt, Dillish, Hakeem, Maria, Natasha and Pokello are up for possible eviction this week. Please vote for your favourite housemate to keep them in the game.

BBAthechase: Do you think Hakeem and Dillish are love?

Dillish and Hakeem are the worst enemies in the House but could there be an attraction there?
Nominating each other at every possible opportunity and talking foul about one another has been the norm amongst these two. This is why it came as no surprise that Dillish would banish Hakeem from taking part in this week’s HoH Task.

Could Cleo be in the way of how Hakeem actually feels about Dillish? The Zimbabwean Housemate shared a little secret with Big Brother during one of his Diary sessions this week. He said he had noticed that Dillish and himself were very similar which is why they were always at each other’s throats. “Me and Dillish we are actually similar in a funny kind of way. When I first got into the Diamond House I got along with everybody except for her and I have realised it is because we are very much the same,” he told Big Brother.

However, because of all the tension that’s been going on between them, Hakeem decided to keep this between himself and Big Brother.

Well, Bolt observed the attraction between the two supposed foes. Bolt told Sulu, who is billed to head on a date with the gorgeous Namibian on Saturday, that the lady was in love with Hakeem.

Prepping the Zambian Housemate for his time with Dillish, Bolt said he could tell when a lady likes a guy. “Dillish can never date a guy in the Big Brother House,” Bolt said adding that she was in a committed relationship outside of the House.
Do you think there’s a hidden attraction between Dillish and Hakeem or are they really archrivals?

Hapy Birthday To Melvin

The boys are set to rule the roost next week.

Melvin got a lovely birthday surprise this afternoon, when he won the Head of House Task for the second time since The Chase began. Clearly today is no ordinary day.
The Nigerian cutie found a nice surprise waiting for him in his balloon after popping it, which inevitably sealed the deal.
Back in the Ruby House, Elikem also broke his Head of House virginity by winning the balloon game. The two s3xy studs are set to begin their Head of House duties on Monday.

What kind of leaders do you think Elikem and Melvin will be?

Annabel, Bolt, Dillish, Hakeem, Maria, Natasha and Pokello are up for possible Eviction this week. Vote now to keep your favourite Housemate in the game.

GMB's Word for the Day: Don't Rush into this Relationship (1)

When we feel hurt and rejected there's something inside us that wants to prove we're still worthy and desirable. As a result we can jump into the next relationship too quickly.
But just like an infant doesn't go from crawling to driving overnight, there's a process involved. If you try to circumvent it you'll end up back at square one, wondering what happened. One author says: 'A new relationship won't successfully heal you, avoid aggravating inflicted wounds, or instantly clean up a mess...Regardless of the temporary bliss, sooner or later you'll end up faced again with your old stuff...If this is your situation, do things the right way. Take your time...These things can't be feigned...rushed or...pursued. They'll be given to you when you're ready, and not a moment sooner...you want the real deal this time...and [God] wants to be your filter, so in order to reach the treasure of your heart, a person must first pass through Him.' Solomon writes that we should take care 'not to awaken love until the time is right.' Don't be in such a hurry to take the edge off your pain that you run ahead of God. It takes time for Him to make you into the person He wants you to become. While He's working on you, He's preparing the heart of the right partner to show up at the right time. In the meantime, there's a way to fill the emptiness inside; work on developing a closer relationship with God and He will 'fill you with...joy and peace.' (Romans 15:13 NIV)

BBAthechase:Diamonds To Starve Again As Rubies Triumph

After losing yet another task presentation this evening, the Diamond Housemates are to ride another week without luxury items. This is going to be the second week in a row when housemates will have to without luxuries following their first loss last week.

If we are to say, the Housemates just enjoy wagering 100% but don’t really know the requirements to win that kind of wager. It’s the second time when the Diamonds are losing their 100% wager.

This week’s task required Housemates to guard their story book as their main work during their camping task and they were to lose their wager if the book gets lost. But due to oversleeping the Diamonds’ book was early this morning snatched from them putting their wager in danger. Despite the second chance they were given, they still had nothing to change.
After the task presentation which required Housemates to stage a puppet show,as the Rubies were triumphing, the Diamonds were receiving bad news of a Thursday that they had lost their wager. Post this announcement, they had nothing to do except eating their prepared meal and plan for another turn.

Who would you blame for the Diamonds’ loss?

UNILAG student Explains How He Was Molested For Rejecting Love Advances

Policemen attached to Adeniji Adele division have arrested a 22-year-old man who alleged kidnapped and molested a student of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, Akoka, for turning down his advances.
The suspect, Babajide Bashorun, was also alleged to have taken unclad shots of his victim (names withheld) and pasted them on the internet with her real name, school, department and age.

But the suspect in an interview with Vanguard claimed that the lady was his girlfriend. He admitted to have taken her unclad pictures and gave them to his friends whose identities he gave as Aje Mayowa and Babajide Ademuyiwa, both final year students of Architecture also of UNILAG.

The incident, as gathered, occurred two months ago at 1, Ajose Street, Enu-Owa area of Lagos Island. But the female undergraduate was silent over the matter until her relations abroad who stumbled on the unclad pictures on the internet contacted her mother in Nigeria, last week.

How it started
Narrating how the incident occurred, the female undergraduate said: “Babajide came to our house to treat our dog. In the process, he requested for my phone number and I reluctantly gave him. He started calling me and told me he would like to go out with me.

“But I told him I already had a boyfriend whom I loved. Yet, he kept calling me, saying he was not interested in just going out with me but wanted to marry me. Aside that, he kept monitoring my movements and at a point, I deleted his contact on my phone.

“I was returning home for a weekend in April , a car stopped by my side at Idumota bus-stop. Jide was sitting beside a driver who was unknown to me.

“On sighting him, I walked past. But the next thing he did was to hold me by the hand, dragged me into the car and drove to his house.

“When he got home, he started beating me and tore my clothes, asking what I wanted that he could not give me. He instructed me to unlock my phone and when he discovered that I used my boyfriend’s name as password, he resumed the beating.

“At a point, he gave me his phone to speak with some of his friends who told me I was in for trouble, for turning down a member of their unnamed cult, threatening that they would kill me for treating him shabbily.

“Thereafter, he molested me and when he was done, his friend took his turn despite my plea. When he saw I was bleeding, he stopped and started begging me. At that point, he brought out his phone and started taking my unclad pictures. I made attempt to cover my face but he hit me on the head with a bottle and continued taking the shots.

How I escaped
“I begged him to allow me call my mother to give him some money for my release but he refused. I also appealed to him to delete my pictures when he started begging me.

“I stayed in that room all night till the next day when he went out to get me some drugs. Immediately he stepped out, I tried the door and discovered it was not locked from outside. I quickly changed into one of my dirty clothes in my bag and escaped.

“But I could not tell anyone at home. When my elder brother asked what the problem was on seeing the blood stained clothes, I told him I was involved in an accident and when my mother insisted on knowing what the problem was, I told her I fought with a course mate. She insisted on going to school with me on seeing the magnitude of the injury but I prevented her.

“Barely had I settled down than Babjide called, threatening to kill me if I disclosed what happened to anyone. As if that was not enough, his friends also called and threatened me as well.”

She is my girlfriend — Suspect
However, on his part, Babjide claimed that the undergraduate was his girlfriend, adding that they only had a fight on that fateful day.

Expressing shock over his arrest, he said: “She is my girlfriend. We only fought in April and have resolved the matter.

“What led to the fight was her request for money to buy an IPad which cost over N100,000. Because of my love for her, I managed to raise N70,000. She visited me on that day and I advised her to change her way of living which included going to club .

I also accused her of flirting with other men. Along the line, we started fighting and I used a mop stick to hit her and in the process , took shots of her and sent the pictures to my friends. But I did not tell them to paste the pictures on the internet.”

Police sources hinted that efforts were on to arrest Mayowa and Ademuyiwa alleged to have pasted the victim’s unclad pictures on the internet, while Babajide had been charged to court for kidnapping, rape, conspiracy, attempt to commit murder, indecent assault, and assault occasioning harm.

BBAthechase, Breaking News: Diamonds Lose Their Story Book!

It’s another week of suffering in the Diamond House after the sleepy heads lost their story book.

Housemates were this week tasked in their camping task to safely keep their Book of tales so as to protect their wager. However, it seemed that sleeping was more important than the wager to the Diamonds and they lost their book.

During the wee hours, when the Diamonds were deadly asleep from their camp in the garden their book was snatched away by an unknown figure. Beverly who got up first was shocked to see the Ninja running away with the book was but she couldn’t stop him. She shouted out loudly alerting her colleagues who were still slumbering that the book is taken.
Housemates were supposed to stay awake watching the book and this time it was Melvin, Bimp,Hakeem,Cleo,Selly,Beverly and Maria doing the job but they wrapped themselves under duvet . Their loss of the book implies a loss of the wager thus running a second week without luxuries after losing last week’s task too.

The rest of the Housemates who were in the House heard the shouting and quickly ran to the garden but little did they know that they were coming to receive the bad news of the day.

Prior to the sad news which brought a murky atmosphere in the House, the Diamonds couldn’t attend the morning exercise in full mode.

It’s quite shaming to see that Housemates couldn’t stay awake for just a few hours in turns so as to protect their book and secure their wager.

Who would you blame for this loss?

BBAUpdate: Housemates are Horny and want s3x Now!

If you are to go into the Big Brother House at the moment and ask the Housemates if they would go three months without s3x, the answer you will get is a big ‘NO’.
From her Diary Session in the afternoon, Maria spilled the beans when she revealed that some of The Chasers are struggling to keep it together because they haven’t had nookie in ages. According to Maria, some Housemates have even started kicking their bedmates out of beds because they cannot stand the heat.

“There’s so much s3xual tension in the House Big Brother. Even Melvin kicked me out of his bed recently because of the pressure. People need s3x”, the Namibian lass fessed.

When asked by Biggie where she stands regarding the same issue, the pint sized Maria was quick to reveal how she can go without bumping parts for three years. “There are people who couldn’t go three months without having s3x. There are many s3x addicts in here. I, on the other hand, can go three years. I’m a strong girl,” She said with a smile.

According to the Namibian, the only thing she’s addicted to is chewing gum which she has after she got a package from Biggie last week.

About the Housemates’ sleeping arrangements, it was revealed that in the Diamond House, it is only Annabel and Dillish who sleep solo and the others have companions when it comes to bed time.

Basing on Maria’s words, should we say that there is something taking place every night amongst the many couples in the House when the lights go off?… Hmm hope so girl.

GMB's Word For The Day: Don't Live in Regret

There's the kind of regret that leads to despair because you don't think God's grace is sufficient to cover your sins. Then there's 'sadness...used by God [which] brings a change of heart...and...no regret.' (2 Corinthians 7:10 GNT) This kind draws you closer and makes you more dependent on Him. 'See what God did with this sadness of yours... Such indignation, such alarm, such feelings, such devotion, such readiness to punish wrongdoing! You have shown yourselves to be without fault...' (2 Corinthians 7:11 GNT) Jon Walker writes:
'As the economy closed in I began to regret not buying a less expensive home. If only we'd bought a cheaper house. If only we'd rented. If only we'd stayed in our first house. I can 'If only' myself into depression and stagnation where I'm stuck between regret and forward motion. When my focus is not on the One who provides...I let regret become bigger than God...and following that logic, I believe past choices, an event, a tragedy, a compromise, a mistake - is more powerful than the God who spoke the world into existence...We live in 'if only/what if' moments more than we realise. They wrap us in a sense of hopeless paralysis: we fear the bad choices we made [and] the choices we face. God pours His grace into the present...our walk is one where we make a decision and stick with it, trusting that even if we make mistakes, God's big enough to turn them around. When regret becomes ungodly sorrow versus godly sorrow, you find yourself submerged in self-pity instead of looking to Him to work things out for the good of "those...He has called according to His purpose."' (Romans 8:28 NKJV)

BBAthechase: "Bolt Is Not My Kind Of Guy" Says Beverly

It’s quite clear that Beverly and Bolt will never get along just like Hakeem and Dillish save for just exchanging greetings like any other civilized people. This comes after Beverly has severally expressed her displeasure with the Sierra Leonean’s constant hitting on her. Bolt who has shown some interest in the Nigerian dame and went ahead to vote for her on today’s crush wall seems interested in meeting her in the Rendezvous Room.
Meanwhile, earlier on, Beverly had a chit-chat with Bimp, Melvin and Maria in the garden and they were talking about the relationships in the house and those likely to cook up. Interestingly, Bolt’s name came up but Beverly instantly dismissed any claims that she would ever have anything with him.

“Bolt is not my kind of guy. From head to toe, I don’t like him. Even if he were the richest guy, I can not. I even talked to Selly about it,” she cried out.

Hmmmm…Well, it seems the mention of Bolt’s name rubs Beverly the wrong way. A few weeks back, the Nigerian model revealed that Bolt was hitting on her yet he was still involved with Ethiopian lass Betty.

This is to inform the general public that the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Professor Rahamon Adisa Bello has announced that the institution will only accept a JAMB score of 200 and above from candidates that wish to participate in the institution’s 2013/2014 post-UTME. So therefore, the speculation going round that it's all the institution that are collecting 180 is not true. We need quality and intelligent students, not wounded so therefore, we need to protect the reputation of the Institution. Thanks.

English Questions & Answers For FUTA 2006/2007 Post-UTME

Below is the federal University of Technology 2006/2007 academic session post-UTME past questions and answers.

Read the passage below and answer the questions that follows:
POPULATION GROWTH
The human population has grown dramatically this century. In 1900, there were 1.6 billion people on Earth by 1,950, this figure billion. Demography is the study of the change in size, distribution and character of the human population; and the two most basic factors in demography are the birth rate.” and the death rate.
The former expresses the number of children born per 100 per year. If we consider the Earth as a whole, we see that population growth decline is caused by the difference between the number of births and deaths over a given period. There are normally more births than deaths, and this is known as a natural increase in
population.
For thousands of years, man lived in a primitive way. Before the recent developments in agriculture, medicine and industry, life was difficult. It was hard to make a living from the soil without modern farming methods, and a few years of hard crops could mean famine and therefore death as it still does today in parts of the world. Illness as mild and as common as influenza could kill a Stone Age man weakened by hunger; appendicitis (almost without risk today) was always fatal before the days of modern surgery. Even childbirth was an hazardous process.
Under these condition the human race needed to reproduce at a high rate just to keep in existence. But the size of the population did not change very rapidly, for without modern medicine, many babies and young children died. So for a long time, the population grew very slowly. And this is still the case today in some
parts of the world where the people live without the aid of modern technology.
It was only about two centuries ago which is less than one thousand of man’s existence that the population growth pattern changed. New discoveries in medical science had a dramatic effect on the death rate. Fewer children died in infancy and adults lived longer. At the same time, the birth rate stayed much the same people were still having large families, even though they could expect most of their children to survive. Consequently, the population began to expand rapidly.
And in the 20th century this acceleration. In population growth has begun to several social and economic problems in many developing countries.

(a) A population that grows according to a pattern (b) A pattern that shows the growth of population (c) A growth of the population patter (d) A population growing in pattern.

2. In this context, what does dramatically means? (a) unexpectedly (b) moderately (c) averagely (d) poorly.

3.If the death rate is 10 per 1000, calculate the Earth natural increase in population for that year (a) 65,000 (b) 6,500 (c) 6.5 million (d) 65 million

4.Developments in agriculture, medicine and industry take place in: (a) the stone Age (b) the jet Age (c) the computer Age (d) the Industrial Revolution.

5.Mention two of the advances in medical science’ that have had a dramatic effect on death rate in recent times (a) cure of influenza and appendicitis (b) Advances in infant mortality and modern surgery (c) Family planning method and surgery (d) Family planning and the cure of influenz and appendicitis.

BBAUpdate:Daybreak: Sleeping In The Cold For The Wager

Winning the US$300,000 grand price has never been and won’t be a piece of cake to the Big Brother Housemates. It comes a long with tests and sacrifices which have to be met while struggling to be the last one standing.

In the course of the grand prize, Housemates meet different tasks testing them in different ways. Speaking of tasks, this week housemates got a survivor and camping task which is to determine their weekly Wager.
Housemates were to sleep outside the Big Brother House under the tents, telling stories to keep them awake as they protect the story book for their wager. As time went on, Housemates had to decide on who should keep the book as some took a nap at different intervals. They thus had to brave the cold in the night by laying their beds in the garden. Hope their sacrifice will be rewarded.
t was a wonderful cold night for the lovebirds Hakeem and Cleo as they spent it in each other’s arms to provide some warmth.

OJB Jezreel says He Has Just 8-10 Weeks Left to Get His Kidney Transplant Done, or Else.....

OJB Jezreel gave an interview to Encomium magazine on Monday June 24th where he said he has about eight to ten weeks left to get his operation done. Excerpts...
"When early diagnosis was done, it was just a case of renal failure. Right now, my two kidneys are gone. We are running dialysis at the moment. It started two years ago, but gradually depreciated. Most people tend to attribute kidney problem to drinking and smoking. I was told it doesn't have anything to do with that, because as much as I drink and smoke then, it was casual drinking. Maybe they offer you a bottle of drink and all that but not like I drink 15 bottles a day. I have a friend who has gone through this and he never drank or smoked.

"The whole process of the treatment from pre-process, transplanting process and post-transplanting will cost about $100, 000. In two years I have spent up to N5million which I have been trying to maintain myself. That is why it has been kept secret."

"God willing, I have like eight to ten weeks more to get the transplant done. It's strange, I still walk around a little. I can't eat much though. I trust God and Nigerians for their financial support"

Once again, to donate, Babatunde Okungbowa. UBA - 1015075120.

Touching!!! Bridegroom, and 3 Others Die In A Car Accident

A bridegroom and three of his relations have been reportedly killed in a motor accident along the Benin-Auchi highway at Iruekpen in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State.
According to an eye witness, the groom, his grand-mother, uncle and uncle’s wife were said to be travelling to Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State for the wedding introduction when the accident occurred.

Their vehicle was said to have had head-on collision with a heavy duty truck conveying sand, belonging to a construction firm.

At press time, two of the bodies were still trapped under the truck, while corpses of the other two had been taken to the morgue.

Head of Operations, Iruekpen Unit Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Mr. John Omokandugba, attributed the crash to dangerous over taking.

He confirmed that four persons— two men and two women— who were occupants of the bridegroom’s vehicle, with number plate USL 111 AE, died in the accident.

Omokandugba said the truck was conveying sand dust from Auchi and was heading to Elele, in Rivers State when the accident occurred.

GMB's Word for the Day: What is Faith?

Faith answers the question, 'How?' with one word: 'God!' The Bible says, 'Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.' (Hebrews 11:1 NKJV) Notice:
(1) Faith is a 'substance'.
Some people see faith as something ethereal and 'otherworldly'. But it's not; we use faith every day. For example, you pick up the phone, call a department store, place an order, and they ask for your credit card number. Then they give you a receipt number. The receipt is what you hold on to while you're waiting for the item to arrive - it gives you the assurance that the product is on the way. And the same is true in the spiritual realm. God promises to answer your prayer, you believe Him, but your faith is the 'substance' or the receipt you hold on to while you're waiting.
(2) Faith is also 'evidence.'
Why would you believe that someone you can't see on the other end of a phone line would send you something just because you order it? Because it happens every day for others, and it's probably happened to you before. Therefore you're not being presumptuous or silly when you go to your letterbox expecting it to be there. You are not the first person to trust God and you won't be the last. 'Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations.' (Psalm 90:1 NAS) People have been trusting God for thousands of years and He has never let them down. His faithfulness is all the 'evidence' you need. So it's not foolish to put your trust in a God like that, is it?

BBA2013: Nomination Untouchables

Whenever the nominations take place on every Monday in both the Ruby house and the Diamond house, there are always those housemates who are not nominated at all.
Today at least every housemate from the Ruby house was nominated but in the Diamond house there were some housemates who were not nominated at all. These where Nigeria’s Hunk Melvin and the Zambian rapper Cleo.

While other housemates like Kenya’s Annabel, Namibia’s Dillish and Zambia’s Hakeem where nominated at least three times, Cleo and Melvin were not nominated at all.

And as a reminder about certain housemates not being not nominated, this is not the first time that Hakeem’s girlfriend does not get nominated at all. Even when she was still in the Ruby house, still there were times when she would not be nominated at all.

As for Nigeria’s Melvin, he is a cool guy in the Diamond house and he has nothing against no one, so maybe that is actually the reason why his fellow housemates did not nominate him. It could also be that probably they do not see him as a strong character in the house, or that they think he is not a big competitor for them.

Cleo might also be seen as a weak competitor by her fellow housemates given the fact that she does not sneak in other people’s business, but rather she just plays her game and maybe she also minds a lot about her boyfriend.

BBAthechase: Selly Said "I Love Nando"

“I love Nando,” that was the potent declaration that Selly made in the Diamond House today.

The young Ghanaian was having a heart to heart with Melvin in the bedroom when the Nigerian quickly pounced on her about her steamy new romance with the Tanzanian. “Do you love Nando? Do you love Nando?” he queried repeatedly.
At first the aspiring actress tried to avoid giving a definitive answer and instead hid herself under the covers and giggled like a school girl. But eventually after much probing from the Diamond dude she eventually caved in and proclaimed, “Yes, I love Nando”. Oh snap! Who knew that things between the two were already at the L-word stage? Does Nandohave any idea about this? Does he feel the same way?

Judging by his careless comments in the past about not wanting a relationship but just a shag; it does not look like it. But you never know maybe the young student has had a change of heart now that the pretty Ghanaian has come into his life and his bed. For Selly’s sake we hope that she is not setting herself for a one way trip to Heartbreak land.
What do you think of Selly’s declaration of love for Nando? Is she for real or is she just playing the game?

14yr Old Murder Suspect said " My Mother Asked me To throw My Cousin Into the Well"

The story sounded bizarre and confounding but it is true. The discovery of the body of three-year-old Bose Olaniyi in a well in the neighbourhood has thrown the residents of Ilupeju-Isokan area of Akobo into mourning. But the most shocking aspect of the sad occurrence was that the suspect in this case is no other person than the deceased’s cousin, Rilwan Olaniyi, who confessed to have acted on the promptings of his mother to kill his cousin!

How could 14-year-old Rilwan, a Primary Six pupil, ever think of killing his little cousin? Crime Reports gathered that Mrs Bola Olaniyi and Mrs Morenike Olaniyi are two women married to two brothers. The former, who is Rilwan’s mother, is married to the elder of the two brothers and due to circumstances, the latter and her husband with their children started living in the house bulit by the elder brother.

It happened in the evening of June 17. Little Bose’s mother, Morenike, a mother of four, reportedly went to buy yam flour in the neighbourhood to prepare dinner for her children. She left her children behind but the youngest, Bose, cried after her mother, insisting on following her, as if she had a premonition of what would befall her that night. Morenike however sent her daughter back, telling her to go and stay with her siblings. And with that she waved a final bye to her daughter as she never saw her alive again. Dinner for the household later became a forgone issue.

Crime Reports gathered that by the time she came back, she could not see her daughter. As neighbours joined her in the search, they later found the body of the girl in a nearby well at about 11.30p.m. Policemen from Akobo were said to have been called and they in turn contacted fire services which came to bring the body out of the well. A boy, whose name was given as Lanre was said to have revealed that he saw Rilwan carrying the missing girl.

After much prodding, Rilwan reportedly confessed and said it was his mother who asked him to kill the girl because Morenike, the deceased’s mother, was not according her the respect due to her. The boy and his mother were promptly arrested by the police while his father, who was almost lynched to death for what the mob termed his inability to handle situation in his home, was also rescued by the police and kept in custody.

When speaking with Crime Reports, Rilwan confirmed that he was the one who threw the baby in the well but denied that it was his mother who sent him. “Bose was at the backyard looking for her mother while her siblings were at the passage. I held her by the hand and took her to the well. There was no one around then so I threw her inside.” When asked why he acted so callously, Rilwan said he was prompted by a strange spirit.

His mother, Mrs Bola Olaniyi (32), a mother of five told Crime Reports: “Rilwan is my first born. On the day of the occurrence, I was not at home. I went out to avoid a debtor and left my four children at home. My sister-in-law children were also at home and Rilwan was yet to return from school.

“I returned at about 7.30p.m. and met Rilwan holding my last child outside. That was when my sister-in-law came and starting calling for her daughter, saying that she could not see him. I asked her whether she followed her when she went to buy something but she replied that she left the little girl at home.

“We went to inform the police and they told us to come back after 24 hours, advising that we should go and search the neighbourhood. We continued searching . My husband came when I called him and as he tried to calm his brother’s wife who had become hysterical, she held on to his shirt, saying that it was our son who carried her daughter.

“A neighbour joined us in the search and when he opened a well nearby our residence, we were shocked to see the girl inside, floating. We went to the residence of the chairman of the landlords association and while there, someone came and said the mob was beating my husband because my son said he was the one who threw his cousin in the well. I was advised to stay back to avoid mob action. That was when my son seized the opportunity to lie against me that I was the one who said he should commit the act.

“How can I do such a thing when I have my own children? It is true I had issues with my sister-in-law but they were the normal disagreements you would find among extended family members. They were nothing so serious as for anyone to think of such evil. I did not send my son to kill his cousin.

“Later, when policemen were interrogating him, he told them that he mentioned my name out of fear, saying that he threw the girl in the well because my sister-in-law used to call him a thief. I have suffered over that boy too much because of his stubborness. I am a muslim but I attend churches, fasting and praying because of him. I am even afraid to stand beside him because I never knew he could conjure such an evil plan and carry it out.”

Confirming the incident and the arrest of the suspects, the police image maker in Oyo State, Olabisi Ilobanafor, told Crime Reports that the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku for further investigation.

GMB's Word for The Day: Earning the Right to Lead (1)

Earning the right to lead calls for the following things:
(1) Prayerfully evaluating before you act. The very thing that makes leading others so appealing to your ego makes you vulnerable to their pressures and praise. 'When Jesus perceived that they were about to...make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone.' (John 6:15 NKJV) Let's be honest - who amongst us doesn't want to be 'king' sometimes? But Jesus wasn't led by the applause of the crowd, He was led by the will of His Father. And you must be too.

(2) Not just filling the slot, but filling it with the right person. Sometimes we give people jobs because we can't find anybody else to do them. But what happens when the job outgrows them? There's more at stake here than sparing somebody's feelings. Your fear of confrontation will permit people to languish in the wrong place, slowing down the vision and discouraging the gifted people around you who keep wondering, 'How long are you going to put up with this?'

(3) Seeking the best counsel you can find. 'Be with wise men and become wise...' (Proverbs 13:20 TLB) Don't pay twice for the same information. Seek advice from someone you respect, someone who's already done what you want to do, particularly when your decision affects others and will be called upon to stand the test of time. What looks good to you today, or in somebody else's polished sales pitch, may not look so good tomorrow when you're presented with better options. Jesus gives the bottom line: 'Don't begin until you count the cost.'
